This is my first attempt to sew these famous pants designed by Kayla Kennington.I just adore these kind of pants but I haven't yet found THE right pattern,Im still and always in search for it!


According to the inclosed measurements I should sew the LARGE size.But I decided to make the MEDIUM because of the chosen fabric which is linen this time.


The pattern is only one piece,which is easy to copy and cut but a bit difficult to handle on the fabric
unless you have a huge table.I had to lay the fabric on the floor and my bitch thought that was really fun to step on it and tear it up!!!!She is 4 years old but she remains a puppy....crazy Bull Terriers...!!!
And you have to cut and 2 pockets if you wish to sew the pocket version.


So far so good.The sewing procedure goes really fast since it has no outside leg seams.The pleats are easy and the pattern comes with 4 pleats but you can add 2 more if you like.And I had to sew the bottom hem darts since I chose the “JAPANESE CUT”.


I made the waist elastic using my serger and I did that for the first time.It did turn out well.More professional I guess!


The only thing that went wrong is the size selection.The pants turned out to be HUGE!I think that my size is the XS.I know that they are supposed to be roomy but I think NOT SO ROOMY.Don't you think???
